The Board Members of the Westberry Engram-Sigma Educational Foundation, Inc (the non-profit wing of Alpha Beta Sigma Graduate Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.) were on hand this past Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Jones Memorial Methodist Church, 2504 Almeda Genoa in Houston Texas to present scholarships to these very outstanding young men that are members of this great place of worship.
Through a rigid application process, the scholarship committee selected these two outstanding young men who are currently enrolled in the colleges of their choice. Mr. Johnuthan Dently is a Junior attending Texas Southern University and Joshua Johnson is also a Junior attending Texas State University. Each of these talented individuals not only are academically sound and love helping others, but they both have faced tremendous obstacles and difficulties in reaching their goals to enroll in college. The Foundation Board Members were extremely proud to present the Dr. Edward L. Patten Scholarship in the amount of $1,000,00 to each of these deserving young men.
